We lost our internet connection on Monday so haven't been able to blog. I'm at my cousin's in Holland and have a couple minutes for a few words.
Monday - Arc de Triomphe: big, rain, snow, sleet, wind, 10 minutes. LaFayette Department store - big, expensive, I hate to shop, hopefully Rachel will get the chance to go back without me so she can finish her shopping. Sephora - fun, not expensive, cool makeup. Pompidou Museum - big, modern, the exhibit we wanted to see was not open, Picasso, Pollock, lots of walking, my legs were aching, modern art's not my thing, hopefully Rachel can go back without me and enjoy it more. Dinner - we picked up a frozen pizza at the Monoprix and cooked at home, it was really good, watched some of the first season of West Wing.
Tuesday - found our way back to the train station, rode train to Amsterdam, Cousin Greg found us at the station - good cuz we couldn't figure out how to make a phone call. Dinner at Greg and Anneke's - wonderful, too much food. Their house is cool and very peaceful. Slept - drove to the coast of the North Sea - cold, damp, interesting. Heading to Amsterdam to spend the day.
This is probably the last post til I get back. I'll try to keep good notes.
